OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE PROGRAM |
Thank you for your interest in our Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program! TUCOM prepares students to become outstanding professionals at the forefront of the scientific, professional and technical areas of expertise, along with their personal and human development. Our program integrates biological, clinical, behavioral and social sciences to educate physicians for primary and specialty care, while following osteopathic principles in the maintenance of health and treatment of disease. Our curriculum is structured into preclinical and clinical education, two years each, for a total of four years.
In keeping with its mission and values, Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks applicants who desire to become osteopathic physicians committed to primary care, to approach patients holistically, and commit to lifelong community service. TUCOM uses whole context osteopathic review to identify and value applicant experiences, socio-economic determinants of opportunity, and academic metrics that align with osteopathic principles, osteopathic approach to patient care, equity, and diversity.
TUCOM students can choose to pursue public health electives through our Global Health Program or they may choose to earn a dual degree (DO/MPH) through our DO/MPH Dual Degree Program.
